Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa has positive feedback on the recently held Africa Print 2011 show, stating that it was heartening to see
the strength of the local printing market and the fact that businesses within this sector are experiencing positive growth.
So says Leon Minnie, product manager: production systems at Konica Minolta South Africa,
who also maintains that while this development might not fall within the parameters of the traditional printing process,
many local businesses have found a trusted partner to assist them in their transition to a digital solution.
“Konica Minolta South Africa really had a fantastic experience at Africa Print 2011, meeting all of the objectives set out before the show,” he explains. “First and foremost, we were able to create interest in, demonstrate and promote our production machines to clients. Secondly, we were also able to showcase to clients how our solutions and hardware can work together to achieve results previously not possible on litho presses. Finally, businesses were made aware of our abilities, the quality and cost effectiveness of our solutions as well as our support and maintenance.”
From a product perspective, Konica Minolta South Africa showcased the much
awarded bizhub PRESS C8000, the C6000\C7000 and the only toner-based high chroma digital press, the
C70hc, featuring a unique RGB colour gamut for RGB workflow such as photo books. Also on show were the company’s black and white
production machines, the bizhub PRO B1051\B1200 and the B950, featuring a host of features such as perfect binding, GBC punching, saddle stitching, six different folds
and suction fed feeding trays.
“The ‘solution corners’ on our stand allowed
us to demonstrate the Konica Minolta software solutions that can assist
companies that invest in digital technologies with new revenue opportunities.
These solutions include transactional\transpromo, VDP (Variable Data Printing), web-to-print,
colour management and photo books. With these capabilities, it becomes clear that
Konica Minolta South Africa is a one-stop vendor and, with our additional partnerships, we are able to advise and assist even on off-line equipment.”
Furthermore, Konica Minolta South Africa is proud to have been presented with the Large Stand award yet again at Africa Print 2011.
“This award is not only based on our stand design but also on staff appearance, professionalism,
accessibility, brand identification, special effects and originality,” Minnie explains.
“Being named as the winner in this category was certainly a feather
in Konica Minolta’s cap at a very successful show, proving that the company is
a cutting edge, innovative leader in the digital imaging market, constantly raising the benchmark in digital production equipment.”
